Hot Sheet is thrilled to join BLOKspace in Leyton to present a curated exhibition that echoes the values of BLOK: "A living installation housing curated classes and art." By collaborating with inspiring artists from our roster, we aim to create an environment where visitors can reflect, find inspiration, and learn.
Curators Jasper Jones and Lauren Wells have selected seven artists to participate in this exhibition. Through diverse mediums, these artists offer works that explore our relationship with the natural world. Titled "Vibrations in Nature," the show delves into how the natural environment can inspire, educate, and restore.
For many of us, fitness is a way to connect with our bodies, especially in bustling cities where work and busy lives dominate. Fitness classes provide a space to reset, much like the artists in this exhibition who, through their creative processes and outcomes, seek a connection with nature.
We are excited to introduce these artists and Hot Sheet to a new audience, continuing the creative expression that defines Hot Sheet. Found in 2019 Hotsheet has been dedicated to celebrating the dynamic and evolving ways artists integrate photography into their practice. It seeks out projects that challenge perceptions of photography by deconstructing, transforming, and reconfiguring the medium in both literal and figurative ways.
Over the past five years, Hotsheet has hosted exhibitions in South London, showcasing exciting emerging artists. Many of these artists have gone on to achieve significant accolades, including exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and solo shows at the Centro de Creación Contemporánea de Andalucía in Córdoba.
