Notes from Curator
You can stay transfixed on Victor’s work at a meditative level. The artistry of freezing a moment in time both in the physical realm and photographically, presents the viewer with an interesting reconceptualisation of the captured moment. His images challenge us to think critically about the nature of truth and the role that photography plays in shaping our experience of the world.
As we stare into the reconstructed scene, we are asked to consider how this new environment changes our understanding of the reflection. The image becomes almost a portal that transports us back to its creation, inviting us to experience the moment again in a transformative way. The photograph becomes more than just a record, it becomes a tool for exploring the complexities of perception and memory.
